The European Digital Mathematics Library - state of the art

The talk is based on the joint work with Michael Jost
The European Digital Mathematics Library (EuDML), http://eudml.org, is a common activity of leading academic European providers in the field of mathematical information services. These institutions have digitised a significant part of the European mathematical literature in the last 15 years and developed own digital libraries allowing Open Access to the mathematical publications in these libraries. But each provider has used its own metadata scheme which hampers an easy search and access to the different libraries. Within the EuDML project (2010 - 2013) which was funded by the European Union, a common metadata scheme for the participating digital mathematics librarieswas realised. Moreover, a central repository was developed allowing a enhanced and simple search and Open Access to the publications of all partner institutions. After the end of the project, an EuDML consortium has established which will continue and expand the EuDML activities, also as part of a possible Global Digital Mathematics Library.
