Almost quaternion-Kähler manifolds

In this talk I will discuss a quaternionic analogue of almost-Kähler geometry, consisting of 8-dimensional manifolds with an almost quaternion-Hermitian structure whose fundamental form is closed but not parallel. I will illustrate examples that suggest that these structures have some of the rigidity of quaternion-Kähler structures, and explain how they are linked to certain lower dimensional structures.
