Session 29. Quaternion-Kähler manifolds and related structures in Riemannian and algebraic geometry

Hyperkähler Implosion

Markus Röser, Leibniz Universität Hannover, Germany
Symplectic Implosion is a abelianisation procedure for Hamiltonian group actions on symplectic manifolds. Recently a hyperkähler analogue of this construction in the case of \(SU(n)\) actions has been introduced by Andrew Dancer, Frances Kirwan and Andrew Swann. In this talk we shall describe joint work in progress with Andrew Dancer and Frances Kirwan on generalising these results to other compact groups.
