Essential norms of weighted composition operators on BMOA and the Bloch space |

In this talk I will discuss new function-theoretic estimates for the
essential norm of arbitrary weighted composition operators
\(uC_{\varphi}\colon f \mapsto u ( f \circ\varphi)\) acting on the space
BMOA and the Bloch space, where \(\varphi\) is an analytic self-map of
the open unit disc \(\mathbb D\) and \(u\colon \mathbb D \to \mathbb C\) is
an analytic function.
